The Demonology talent tree focuses on the demonic pets of the Warlock. The Affliction talent tree improves the damage over time and fear spells of the Warlock. Because dots and fear are great in PvP you will see a lot of affliction Warlocks in PvP scenarios. You will also receive several other spells when you follow this tree like a new dot and fear.

The Destruction talent tree focuses on the direct damage spells like Shadow Bolt and several fire based spells. You will also obtain several new spells which also increase the Warlocks AoE spells. This talent tree if often used by Warlocks that raid a lot.
